Junior Lawyers Division essay competition 2012

Entering relevant competitions can be a great way of gaining extra achievements to add to your CV (and you might also have some fun or win a prize as an added bonus!!).

Here's an opportunity to do all of the above for any Law students who are due to start their LPC in September:-

The Junior Lawyers Division essay competition

The essay question is:
'What impact should the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill have on the Legal Education and Training Review?'

·         Essays must be no more than 2,000 words in length.
·         The winner will receive a prize of £500 and the runners up will receive £250.
·         Entries must be submitted by email to juniorlawyers@lawsociety.org.uk
·         The closing date is 23 July 2012.
·         Only students registered with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (e.g. LPC students and post-qualified LPC students working as paralegals) and trainee solicitors are eligible to enter this competition. However, the JLD has agreed to extend eligibility to include students who are due to commence the LPC in September as long as they can confirm that they have submitted an application for student enrolment prior to the essay deadline.

Further information can be found on the JLD website

Good luck if you decide to enter.
