  • Personal Branding Talk – Sarah Edmunds – Endsleigh Insurance Monday 25 February – 11am – 12 noon – HLT 3, Park

Creating a person brand is all about harnessing the techniques a company uses to market to us. Every day brands are talking to us, asking us to use them, buy from them or work for them through a series of marketing campaigns.

When you’re in the recruitment market you need to make the best first impression possible but you also need to make the right choices about which brands you choose to listen to.

This session will challenge your first impressions, open your mind and help you to make the best impression you can all the while building a unique personal brand.

  • Assessment Centres – What Employers won’t tell you! Wednesday 27 February – 1.30 – 4.30pm – C106, Park
    • Why and how recruiters use assessment centres
    • The three reasons graduates fail them
    • Practical examples and tips for ability and personality tests
    • Great answers to tough interview questions
    • Secrets of success in a group exercise
    • The session is delivered by Angus Farr from Training Counts, who spent over a decade heading up graduate recruitment for a number of organisations. He now runs a corporate training business which offers coaching and training on employability skills to a number of Business Schools and Universities in the UK.
