Ian Dove QC of No 5 Chambers,
Birmingham has kindly agreed to come to talk to students who are interested in
finding out more about a career at the Bar.
Ian went to school in Northampton, read law at St
Catherine's College, Oxford and was called to the Bar in 1986
Ian was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2003 and now sits
part-time as a Deputy High Court Judge, a Recorder in the Crown and County
Courts and also as an Immigration Judge.
Rachael Dawson of Chartlands
Chambers, Northampton will be joining Ian at the careers event.
Rachael obtained her law degree at the University of
Nottingham and was called to the Bar in 2007. She has a varied civil law
practice.
This is a valuable
opportunity to come and hear first-hand about life at the Bar. You will
have an opportunity to talk to both Ian and Rachael in an informal atmosphere.
All are welcome but so we have an idea of the numbers of
students who are attending please email Margaret Roberts if you wish to come
