The Army Legal Services (ALS) is a specialist branch which deals with the ever increasing need to deliver military legal support to the British Army. From prosecuting in military court martials and giving legal advice on international, civil and military law to advising and training on operational law, the law of armed conflict and the rules of engagement.

What makes this job different?
Being a lawyer in the Army is no ordinary job. You could find yourself advising the chain of command on the finer points of international law in the middle of a law zone, while another assignment could see you in charge of the decision to prosecute at court martial. Entry Requirements
You must be a British or Commonwealth citizen or citizen of the Republic or Ireland and have lived in the UK for the last 5 years.
You must be a qualified solicitor, barrister or advocate, qualified in England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.
Barristers must have completed pupillage and solicitors and must have completed a training contract (ALS do not offer pupillage or training contracts).
You should be physically fit and aged between 23 and 32.
