Ambitious, disabled and considering a career in commercial law?

OPEN to 1st, 2nd and final year event for students with disabilities or long-term health conditions

Monday 2nd December 2013, Central London (travel expenses reimbursed).
Many people believe that working in commercial law isn’t for them. This is especially true for those with a disability or long-term health condition – visible or otherwise. The long hours and pressures we typically associate with life at a top law firm can present a barrier.
8 of the world’s leading law firms, including Clifford Chance, Linklaters, Slaughter and May, Hogan Lovells, Ashurst, Allen and Overy and Freshfields are looking forward to meeting talented first and second year students (graduating 2014, 2015 and 2016) with 300+ UCAS point or equivalent (mitigating circumstances are of course taken in to account).
The event will cover areas such as:
• An introduction to commercial law.
• How to approach the recruitment process.
• When & how to talk about your disability / health condition and request the support you require.
It will also provide students the opportunity to meet people in a similar position and network with representatives and recruiters at 8 leading global law firms.
Please circulate details of this event to your students. Those interested can find out more and apply at http://www.open-to-you.com/
