The UKLSA is looking for a General Manager for a 2-year term for the following periods:

June 1, 2014 - May 30, 2016

June 1 2016 - May 30, 2017 with a 6-month handover period starting on January 15, 2015.

 

The GM will manage the work of the UKLSA Executive Committee (EC) which carries out the day-to-day activities of the Association, and will report monthly to the Governors including the UKLSA President.  The EC is composed of law students from across the UK, including LLB, PhD, BPTC and LPC students.

 

The UKLSA's Divisions of operation include the UK Law Student Review (UKLSR), the Advocacy and Mooting Division, the Careers Division and the Equalities Division.

 

This position requires a commitment of approximately 5 hours per week and is suitable for lawyers or law graduates who are pursuing a career in law. The position is pro-bono but has many benefits including being in regular contact with leading legal professionals and law students from across the UK; gaining executive experience; and having the opportunity to assist others with their careers. The successful candidate will have good people skills and a desire to help and overall improve the opportunities for UK law students.
