Practice the Bar Course Aptitude Test (BCAT)

All students applying for the BPTC will need to undertake the Bar Course Aptitude Test, test yourself via the free practice test

In a statement the Bar Standards Board (BSB) said the practice test is to help students “familiarise themselves with the test structure and question style used” and “get a sense of the length of time needed to undertake the exam, and, for some, whether or not they might require reasonable adjustments.”

The test was introduced by the BSB in a bid to lower the proportion of students with a propensity to fail and ensure those with a low aptitude do not slow down classes on the Bar Professional Training Course.
