Unique
opportunity for Northampton students to build skills, grow businesses and
change lives!
Balloon Kenya is an
award winning social enterprise defeating poverty and disadvantage through
entrepreneurship, not aid.
We are recruiting 12 young innovators from University of
Northampton.
The Role
* LEARN: Balloon Kenya recruits bright young
people from across the world (Enterprise Fellows) to complete an intensive
week-long programme in entrepreneurship and business design, developed with
leading entrepreneurship educators.
* SHARE: Fellows then work with budding Kenyan
entrepreneurs, leading classes and supporting groups to devise, develop and
test new and exciting business ideas.
* PITCH: Groups present their ideas to our
micro-finance funding panel and Balloon Kenya invest in the best entrepreneurs.
So far we have invested more than £50,000 in 200+ businesses. Over the next 12
months we will invest another £50,000.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting to develop
outstanding entrepreneurial skills, get hands on start-up experience, kick
start a career in international business, and above all, embark on a life
changing journey.
“For us this is mature global development.”
Lord Michael Hastings, Global Head of Corporate Citizenship,
KPMG
“The Balloon Kenya programme has truly been the most rewarding
experience I have had to date.”
