Don't forget to pick up a copy of The Training & Pupillage Handbook from Naseby open space

Here are five reasons to use the Handbook from LawCareers.Net:

  1. It has the most training contact vacancies. TCPH is the only print resource to offer a listing to all firms with training contract vacancies.
  2. It has easy-to-use indexes for firm research. If you know in which region you want to work, the size of firm you would be suited to and even which practice areas you are interested in, then use the training contract indexes to filter down your choice of firms.
  3. It's jam-packed with general careers advice and information. All your options, timescales, practice area information, work experience knowledge, educational requirements, key skills and tips, and much more is there ready for you to dive straight in.
  4. It's user friendly. With colour-coded sections and a handy ‘how to use’ guide, flicking through the handbook is a great way to compare and weigh up your options. You can make notes in the margin and use colourful sticky tabs to mark up the pages that you want to return to.
  5. Other training contract applicants are using it – so you should use it too! TCPH is the most-cited print-only resource according to data from AllHires Graduate (formerly Apply4Law). Don’t miss out on a resource that your fellow students are using.
Don't forget the deadline for most training contract applications is July 31st. You will find a list of all law firm deadlines here.
