On 9 June the ICSA are holding an open evening to
introduce the world of the company secretary to anyone interested or
considering this as a career option. While little-known, the role, due to its
breadth and the exposure it has to the highest levels of business at an early
stage in an individual’s career, is very attractive when better understood.
You will hear from current company secretaries what drew
them into the profession, how they qualified and why they love what they do.
Staff from a specialist recruitment company will talk about routes into the
profession, potential career paths and earning potential. Finally, ICSA will
present on routes to qualification and how to stay in touch.
The profession is open to all (i.e. there are no subject
pre-requisites) but is particularly attractive to law, business and accounting
students.
The open evening will be at ICSA , Saffron House, 6-10 Kirby
St, London, EC1N 8TS. This is between Farringdon Road and Hatton Garden,
nearest station Farringdon.
